Mumbai, April 26 (IANS) Actor Manoj Bajpayee, who will next be seen onscreen in "Traffic", which widely speaks about the 'Green Corridor' system, says he would love to meet people who have benefited from this "great initiative".
The 'Green Corridor' initiative is created to fast-pace movement of ambulances carrying harvested organs from one hospital to the other.
"The good humanitarian 'Green Corridor' system has changed lives of many people. I would love to meet people who have benefited from this great initiative. We are hopeful that our movie 'Traffic' will also spread more awareness of this exceptional system and it will be put more into practice," Manoj said.
The film brings a very important aspect to light, which comes into play especially, during emergency organ donation and transplantation cases.
Manoj learnt a lot in detail about this life saving system. In fact, while researching, he came across a lot of cases wherein lives were saved due to the creation of the 'Green Corridor'.
Directed by late Rajesh Pillai, produced by Deepak Dhar of Endemol India and presented by Foxstar Studios, "Traffic" also stars Jimmy Shergill, Divya Dutta and Sachin Khedekar.
"Traffic" is an emotional thriller, which revolves around the story of the transportation of a heart for a heart transplant case, chasing a strict deadline. During the mission, the characters face numerous difficulties with traffic being one of them.
