Ranchi, April 25 (IANS) The bodies of five persons who reportedly died during communal violence in Jharkhand's Hazaribagh district during Ram Navami on April 17 were exhumed from a graveyard by police on Monday.
The bodies were exhumed from the Khirgaon graveyard in the presence of a magistrate. Autopsies will be conducted on the bodies soon.
The dead people were identified as Chotu, Muzzafar, Mantu, Sonu and Intesar.
Communal violence had broken out on Ram Navami in which four people were killed.
However, police sources said these five people died in a blast while making a bomb in a house, and the bodies were buried in secret by residents to avoid police action.
Curfew was imposed in Hazaribagh for four days after the communal violence.
