New Delhi, April 25 (IANS) Over 78 percent polling was recorded on Monday in the fourth phase of the West Bengal elections, the Election Commission said here.
"There was 78.05 percent polling till 5 p.m.," Deputy Election Commissioner Sandeep Saxena told the media here.
He said 18 people were arrested for various offences related to polling and three first information reports were lodged.
The fourth phase of polling was held across 49 constituencies.
