Los Angeles, Apr 25 (PTI) Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg are reuniting for the sequel of 2015 family comedy "Daddy's Home" with Sean Anders returning to the director's seat.
Paramount Pictures and Gary Sanchez Productions announced the project on Friday, April 22 but did not mention other original cast such as Linda Cardellini and Thomas Haden Church.
According to Deadline, the first movie's scribe John Morris will return to write the sequel with Anders but the official logline is kept under wraps.
"Daddy's Home" follows a mild-mannered radio executive (Ferrell) who strives to become the best stepdad ever to his wife's two children.
Complications ensue when their freewheeling, freeloading real father (Wahlberg) arrives, forcing stepdad to compete for the affection of the kids. Released in December 2015, it made USD 240 million worldwide.
