New York, April 23 (IANS) US-based construction power tools firm DeWalt has unveiled its first smartphone "MD501" with tough looks and even though it is a full touchscreen device, user can work on it with gloves on.
The smartphone is water resistant and can work in temperatures from -20 degrees up to 60 degrees Celsius, The Verge reported.
The device is manufactured by Global Mobile Communications, a mobile communication solutions company for DeWalt.
The "MD501" has LTE/4G support, a 13MP camera, 1.3GHz processor with 2GB RAM, 5-inch 720p display, 3,950mAh battery, wireless charging and runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop).
DeWalt has added an amplified loudspeaker to the phone for clearer speakerphone calls at noisy work sites.
The "MD501" is expected to cost around $544 (US price) when available.
