Lucknow, April 23 (IANS) Uttar Pradesh has been selected as the 'best Indian destination for culture' by prestigious international travel magazine Lonely Planet, an official said on Saturday.
A state government spokesman said Uttar Pradesh was selected on the basis of a conventional survey as well as an online feedback survey conducted by the magazine.
The award would be given to the state at a ceremony in Mumbai on May 9.
