Gurgaon, April 23 (IANS) The body of a 15-year-old girl was on Saturday dug out of her grave in Haryana's Mewat district for an autopsy after her family alleged that she was murdered after being gang-raped, police said.
The body was dug out in Ghasera village of Mewat, around 40 km from Gurgaon, by a special team in the presence of police.
The girl went missing from her house on April 21 and her body was found hanging in her neighbour's house under mysterious circumstances the next morning.
The body was buried in a few hours assuming she committed suicide.
Later, on Friday evening, the girl's family complained to the Mewat superintendent of police and deputy commissioner, alleging that she was kidnapped, gang-raped and murdered by nephews of the sarpanch (village head).
The deputy commissioner has formed a three-member team including Nuh deputy commissioner of police, a tehsildar and a doctor.
The deceased girl's uncle has alleged that as the family was very poor, so the body was buried under pressure from "some dominant men" of the village.
Two people -- identified as Aadil and Akram -- have been booked for hatching a conspiracy after a complaint from the girl's father was filed at the Nuh police station, police said. No one has been arrested.
The body has been sent for forensic tests.
The sarpanch Ashraf Ali said the allegations were politically motivated as the girl's uncle had contested the panchayat elections against him twice but was defeated.
