Mumbai, April 21 (IANS) A benchmark index of the Indian equities markets, the 30-scrip BSE Sensitive Index (Sensex), provisionally closed Thursday's trade flat at 36.20 points or 0.14 percent up.
The wider 50-scrip Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) provisionally closed down 2.70 points or 0.03 percent at 7,912.05 points.
The Sensex of the S&P Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), which opened at 25,979.68 points, provisionally closed at 25,880.38 points (at 3.37 p.m.), down 36.20 points or 0.14 percent from the previous day's close at 25,844.18 points.
The Sensex touched a high of 26,080.07 points and a low of 25,783.12 points in the intra-day trade.
