Coach Wenger rules out leaving Arsenal

London, April 21 (IANS) Arsenal's French coach Arsene Wenger has ruled out leaving the English football club at the end of the current season, insisting he will always respect his contract.

After a disappointing campaign this season, and with one year to go on his contract, Wenger has been called on to leave the club, especially after the recent 1-1 English Premier League substandard home draw against Crystal Palace last Sunday, reports Efe.

According to the Mirror, Wenger insisted in a press conference on Wednesday that he has no plans to walk away this summer and said, "I do not want to come back on that, I respect always my contract".

Wenger, who was then pressed if there was any chance he could go replied, "Look, I've just answered your question."

Arsenal is expecting over 50,000 to turn up for Thursday's home clash with West Bromwich Albion, but it will be short of the 60,000 capacity at the Emirates Stadium.

Wenger added, "Look, everybody is free to do what he wants with his season ticket. We have to live with that. It's a Thursday night, it's unusual (for a kick-off time)."

"We just had a disappointing result at home, maybe that plays a part as well. First of all it's not experienced yet and we have to live with that," he said.

Arsenal will host West Bromwich Albion on Thursday in the 34th round of the Premier League, as they hold the fourth spot in the standings with 60 points.
