Jaipur, April 19 (IANS) Luxury brand Good Earth has launched its first store here at Sujan Rajmahal Palace, which is a 250-year-old property and home to the present Maharaja of Jaipur, Kumar Padmanabh Singh.
In addition to the new store, 41 wallpapers designed by the team of Good Earth adorn the palace.
In 2014, the Jaipur Royal Family commissioned the restoration of Rajmahal Palace through the interiors division of Good Earth, Charbagh, led by Adil Ahmad. Adil was supported by the design team of Good Earth, Simran Lal, chief executive officer of Good Earth said in a statement.
The buta, the cypress, the floral patterned borders, the geometric shapes, inspired by stone carvings that embellish the forts, palaces and havelis that are intrinsic to the dictionary of design, were introduced into the larger design scheme to revive and reinvent this royal legacy,embodying the ethos of Jaipur and its royal heritage, she added.
