'Bizarre', says Kejriwal to reports of increased pollution

New Delhi, April 19 (IANS) Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday termed as "bizarre" the media reports that pollution levels in the national capital had spiked despite the odd-even traffic scheme.

"Bizarre conclusions by some media -- less petrol consumption, less vehicles and yet pollution increased," Kejriwal tweeted.

According to some media reports, on the second day of odd-even Phase II, increase in gaseous pollution (NO2) and a high concentration of particulate matter (PM) was reported in some areas of the national capital, though the Delhi government claimed a positive impact on Delhi's air quality.
