New Delhi, April 18 (IANS) Hero Electric on Monday announced tie-up with the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) and Tata Power to provide hassle-free travel during the ongoing 15-day odd-even traffic rule in the national capital.
While NDMC will offer free parking spaces to Hero Electric users across the city, Tata Power will provide bike-charging facilities at all the major metro stations, along with charging and parking facilities in their substation, the company said in a statement.
Hero Electric has launched the first-of-its-kind #FreeRideInitiative through which it will deploy 50 electric bikes in University of Delhi and 50 in Connaught Place for citizens to ride free of cost.
Hero Electric also announced that consumers buying Hero Electric bikes using the e-commerce shopping website Paytm during the 15-day period will get cash back of Rs.5,000 and smartwatch for free.
"Our aim is to make eco-friendly E-vehicles a way of life for Delhi residents. We want them to discover the ease and convenience of our E-Bikes during the odd-even rule and to embrace them for future use as well," said Sohinder Gill, CEO, Hero Electric, in an official statement.
