Los Angeles, Apr 18 (PTI) Funnyman Will Ferrell is set to star in and produce action comedy for Universal Studios.
Universal has acquired an untitled original pitch from "Neighbors" scribe Brendan O'Brien and Ferrell will produce the project under his Gary Sanchez Productions banner, reported The Wrap.
The story will follow an escaped convict who teams up with an unlikely partner to stop his girlfriend from getting married.
O'Brien most recently co-wrote and produced New Line's comedy "The House," starring Ferrell and Amy Poehler. The film will hit theaters in June 2017.
