Brazil’s lower house votes for Rousseff impeachment

Brasilia, April 18 (IANS) After over five hours of voting, a motion to impeach Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff garnered enough support to pass in the country's lower house Sunday night.

With the voting still ongoing, so far at least 342 lawmakers has cast their ballots in favour of impeachment, CNN reported.

In order for the motion to pass, at least 342 lawmakers must vote to support it.
