New Delhi, April 17 (IANS) Not all colours are ideal when it comes to dressing up for the summer heat. Classic shades of white are the go-to shades, but an expert has stated that cool aqua green and blue shades like classic blue, turquoise and aquamarine are gorgeous colours for summer dressing.
Sonal Abrol, CEO of fashion brand Saiesta, has shared that these colours "look extremely appealing in the heat".
"They will match with so many contrast options for shoes and bags that you do not need to worry about getting things wrong. The colours add coolness to the complexion and look extremely appealing in the heat," Abrol said in a statement.
Throwing more light on the colours and styling, she has shared a few tips:
*Soft elegant pastel shades of pink like strawberry ice, rose, hues of pink, yellow and green look bright and beautiful, making them the perfect choice for summer dressing. They are all flattering colours that really liven up and brighten any occasion.
*White is a versatile summer colour. Wearing white in this hot season remains a staple look and is a trend that will always be in. There is no colour more fresh and crisp than white. When worn from head to toe, it results in an exceptionally stylish, high-impact look. The all-white look can be teamed up with bright boho accessories in cool shades of blue and turquoise.
The classic white cotton top, shirt or tunic is the perfect summer staple along with denims (both skinny or boot cut with less flare is really in fashion this season). This can be teamed up with neutral yet classy tan shoes and bag.
Alternately, white bottoms such as long or short or denim skirts, wide leg culottes, flowy palazzos, slim-fit pants can be teamed with pastel or bright coloured tops or tunics. Tops in shades and prints of blue can also be combined with white lowers for the perfect cool breezy summer look.
*Fabrics, cuts, styles can be used in different colours. ItÂ’s very important to dress for your body type. Key is to keep your look simple and clutter free, although it can be fun to play with colours and patterns in this season compared to the dreary winter months.
Fabrics like cotton, viscose, rayon crepe, flex or linen texture are apt, while cuts such as loose and flowy, boxy, detailed hems -- high low, asymmetrical and scalloped -- would work well for this season.
*Traditional designs like ikat, tie and dye, block print add style to the clothes.
