Chennai, April 15 (IANS) Two days after DMK president M. Karunanidhi announced the candidates for the next month's assembly elections, party members in several places have started voicing their opposition to the nominees.
On Friday, DMK workers from Tirunelveli district came to Karunanidhi's house here and demanded replacement for sitting legislator Mohideen Khan, who has won the seat three times.
Police managed the crowd that tried to enter Karunanidhi's house.
The workers submitted a petition against Khan's candidature to Karunanidhi's daughter and Rajya Sabha member Kanimozhi.
Similarly a section DMK of men in Vellore district have voiced their opposition to Nandakumar, the party's candidate for Anaikattu constituency.
