Berlin, April 13 (IANS) Bayern Munich's veteran midfielder Xabi Alonso says although his former coach Jose Mourinho and current coach Pep Guardiola seem to be very different in football terms, they have "similar personalities".
"Both have the passion and the prestige, but in different ways. They are the ones who make decisions to players to follow," Efe quoted the Spanish player as saying beIN Sports on Tuesday.
"Mourinho is 100 percent competitive and wants to win. He stirs up the players, the club and the fans and changed things to making us compete," Alonso added.
The 2010 World Cup winner said he knew the differences between the two coaches when he moved from Real Madrid to Bayern, adding that he was fine with both of them.
Alonso also spoke about Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti, "He's a club man and he doesn't give importance to trivial things."
Finally, Alonso expressed his gratitude to Spain national coach Vicente del Bosque who chose him to start in the national team.
