Louis Tomlinson joins Soccer Aid line-up

London, Apr 13 (PTI) One Direction singer Louis Tomlinson has joined the line-up for Soccer Aid, which will raise money for UNICEF.

The singer, who was signed by his local club Doncaster Rovers on a non-contract basis in 2013, will play for England against the Rest Of The World team at the charity football match in aid of Unicef on June 5 at Manchester's Old Trafford stadium, reported Female First.

"I'm really excited to play in this year's Soccer Aid event. Unicef as a charity, and its workers, continue to amaze me and helping even in this small way is a privilege," he said.

Tomlinson, 24, will join Olly Murs, Marvin Humes, Mark Wright, Paddy McGuinness, Jack Whitehall, John Bishop, Ben Shephard, Jonathan Wilkes and Jamie Theakston on the team, which will feature Robbie Williams as Assistant Manager.

Soccer Aid was founded by Robbie and Jonathan and has already raised 17 million pounds for Unicef.

Michael Sheen will captain the Rest of the World team, which will feature Gordon Ramsay and Rickie Haywood-Williams.
