Rocket attack rocks Kabul after Kerry’s visit

Kabul, April 10 (IANS) A rocket attack rocked Afghan capital of Kabul on Saturday night hours after US secretary of state wrapped up a one-day trip to the country, sources and witnesses said.

"At least two rockets were fired from eastern part of Kabul towards the diplomatic district in central part of the city," a security source told Xinhua.

One rocket struck a high school in police district one, the source said, adding "the initial information found no one was hurt by the attack."

No one has claimed responsibility for the attack, but the Taliban militant group has launched similar attacks in the past.

The US Secretary of State John Kerry arrived in Kabul earlier on Saturday for an unannounced visit.

Late last month, the Taliban fired three rockets on new Afghan parliament building, causing no loss of live.
