Los Angeles, April 9 (IANS) Actor Boyd Holbrook, who played the protagonist in the American TV series Narcos, has been roped in to essay the role of a sinister security director in The Wolverine 3.
Holbrook will be essaying the role of the main villain in the third instalment of the solo Wolverine movie series, joining actors Hugh Jackman and Patrick Stewart, reports aceshowbiz.com.
The 34-year-old will play a relentless, calculating and intense head of security for a global enterprise who is set against Wolverine or Logan in the film. It's an original character that has not appeared in any of the comic books.
The plot of the "X-Men" spin-off is not yet known.
The script will be written by David James Kelly and helmed by James Mangold.
Stewart will reprise his role as Professor Xavier Charles while Jackman had announced last year that this would be his last movie as the mutant.
The film is scheduled to release on March 3 next year.
