New Delhi, April 9 (IANS) The Angels Network, a Delhi-based charity group brought together over 100 participants of all age groups in a choreographed Bollywood dance flashmob to celebrate a forthcoming fashion event which will have the support of some notable names from the fashion industry.
The flashmob happened at south Delhi's Select CityWalk mall on Friday evening, and its purpose was to promote the upcoming two-day Vintage Affaire 2 charity sale, which will start on April 16 at Select CityWalk.
The second installment of Vintage Affaire will be a mega sale of branded vintage fashion donated by well wishers, where all proceeds will be given to support two causes that the Angels Network works closely with: an old age home named The Earth Saviours Foundation and an overflow medical facility and trust, Dukh Bhanjan.
In addition, to the donated items, a few notable fashion designers have lend their support to the event including Shantanu & Nikhil, Gauri & Nainika, Siddharth Tytler, Shivan & Narresh, Raw Mango, Namrata Joshipura, Akaash Agarwal, Jyoti Jain Chibber, Ruh, Elisha W, Rabani & Rakha and Britain based RI2K London.
The flashmob participants, who initially appeared as unassuming shoppers, gradually began gathering together while donning pink 'Angels Network' caps, and then spontaneously broke out in a high energy choreographed Bollywood dance routine in the malls courtyard.
The participants also voluntarily donated between Rs.500 and Rs.1000 each to be a part of this flashmob. These will go towards the causes.
