EC censures Trinamool's Rezzak Mollah

Kolkata, April 9 (IANS) The Election Commission on Saturday censured Trinamool Congress leader Rezzak Mollah over his comments and subsequently, dissatisfactory replies to the poll panel's show cause notice.

The commission decided to serve a show cause notice to Mollah over some of his utterances and this was done but his answers were not satisfactory, said additional CEO Dibyendu Sarkar.

"Then there were subsequent utterances as well," he added.

In addition, the poll panel is examining complaints against Communist Party of India-Marxist leader Mohammed Salim over his warning that the Left Front will take account of all "murderers and executioners" who ran amok during the Trinamool regime, after it comes to power following the assembly polls. The Trinamool had lodged a complaint against him on Friday.

"The CD of his speech has been sent to the Election Commission," said Sarkar.

Regarding the alleged murder of Trinamool Congress worker Joydeb Jana who was allegedly beaten to death by rods by CPI-M and Congress workers in West Midnapore, Sarkar said the poll panel was looking into the complaints.
