18 soldiers, five militans killed in clashes in southern Philippines

Manila, April 10 (IANS) A fresh upsurge of violence in the troubled southern Philippines between government troops and Abu Sayyaf guerrillas has left 18 soldiers and five militants killed, military spokesman said on Sunday.
