Namik Paul is my selfie stick: Nikita Dutta

Mumbai, April 8 (IANS) The 'selfie' bug has bitten “Ek Duje Ke Vaaste” actress Nikita Dutta. She says she likes taking selfies and considers her co-star in the show Namik Paul as her "selfie stick".

Nikita is very fond of taking selfies and always wanted a selfie stick, but couldn’t get one. However, now she has found her selfie stick in the form of Namik.

“Selfie is referred to the new age 'autograph' for our fans nowadays! Also, I like clicking selfies. Working in 'Ek Duje Ke Vaaste' has been more fun for me as I have got a unique selfie stick on the sets,” Nikita said in a statement.

“We don’t have to struggle for a selfie stick as we have it always ready in the form of Namik. Whenever I’m on set and clicking selfies, it's incomplete without my selfie stick,” she added.

Both Nikita and Namik keep sharing their candid captures for their fans, keeping them updated as to what they are up to between the shoots or when they are not working.

“Ek Duje Ke Vaaste” is aired on Sony Entertainment Television.

I love cooking, says Aasif Sheikh

Actor Aasif Sheikh, who is currently seen as Vibhuti Narayan in TV serial “Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hain”, says he loves cooking and likes to see people eating what he prepares.

Aasif once treated his friends and co-stars on the set with special homemade biryani.

“I love cooking and more than that, (I love) feeding people I know. Seeing the satisfied look on their faces makes me so happy,” Aasif said in a statement.

“Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hain”, aired on &TV, also stars Saumya Tandon and Rohitash Gaud among others.

Madhuri to don glam avatar for new TV show

Bollywood's dancing diva Madhuri Dixit, who will be seen as a judge in “So You Think You Can Dance ‘Ab India Ki Baari' ” will reportedly be seen in a glamorous look in the upcoming TV dance reality show.

According to a source from the set, Madhuri's look has been very carefully crafted. In the first look promo of the show, she will be seen sporting a tangerine dress paired with coffee-colored stilettoes and a glam hairstyle, wearing her glossy strands down in full waves.

“Madhuri believes dance is not just a hobby or a passion, but it is an expression of one’s self and one can only expect the gorgeous lady to put her best foot forward,” the source said.

An Indian version of the internationally acclaimed reality format “So You Think You Can Dance”, the Star Plus show will also feature choreographers Terence Lewis and Bosco Martis as the other two judges.

Shilpa Shirodkar celebrates Gudi Padwa on 'Silsila Pyaar Ka' set

Actress Shilpa Shirodkar, who essays Janki Tiwari in “Silsila Pyaar Ka”, celebrated Gudi Padwa and Ugadi on Friday with her co-stars on the sets of the TV show.

Shilpa, who earlier used to celebrate the festival with her family, this time decided to celebrate with her co-stars. She even brought sweets for the entire team of the show.

“When I was abroad, I used to do 'puja' in the house and make 'sakhar bhaat'. But now that I am in India, we take a stick, put a silk shawl, silver kalash, put a swastik on the kalash, and do the 'puja' with haldi, kumkum and garlands. We make saakar bhaat (sugar rice),” Shilpa said in a statement.

“It's very auspicious for us and the family. Hence, each year I buy things for our family members. And this year, it was a working Gudi Padwa for me and I did something special for my team as well,” she added.

“Silsila Pyaar Ka”, aired on Star Plus, also stars Abhay Vakil and Chhavi Pandey among others.
