My Father had thought of making a film on Gautami Putra Satakarni’ – NBK

Finally, the official announcement regarding the 100th film of Nandamuri Balakrishna is out. On the auspicious occasion of Ugadi, the team made an official announcement at the capital of Andhra Pradesh, Amaravati.

Speaking about the film Nandamuri Balakrishna said, “People have been eagerly waiting for my 100th film announcement, here it is. Gautamiputra Satakarni will be my 100th movie. It is a result of the effort of the 99 films I have made with an experience of 40 years. Telugu people must know the great history of Gautamiputra Satakarni who brought India under one rule. He has been an inspiration to other great leaders like Chhatrapati Shivaji. I recently came to know that my father, legend, NTR had thought of making a film on him and even went to the scripting stage. Unfortunately, he couldn’t make it. Now I feel blessed to be doing it. The movie will make not only all Telugu people proud but also entire nation and world”.

Director Krish said that he is happy to have got the opportunity to direct a 100th film of Balakrishna and forever indebted to him for giving him the chance. He concluded by saying that he feels proud to be making a film on a subject that has not been touched upon till now.
