Los Angeles, April 8 (IANS) Actress Melissa McCarthy will return in the upcoming revival of comedy-drama TV series Gilmore Girls as Sookie.
The actress announced the news on the TV show The Ellen DeGeneres Show, reports variety.com.
Literally about an hour and a half ago, we figured out that Im gonna go back and do it and I am so excited. And they are gonna be amazing, she said.
The episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show is set to be aired on Friday.
McCarthy is one of the last series originals to be announced for the show revival. Previously, showrunner Amy Sherman-Palladino pointed to McCarthys really f******g busy schedule as the reason she wouldnt be appearing in the show.
A release date for the new Gilmore Girls series is yet to be announced.
