Illegal liquor factory busted in Ghaziabad, two arrested

Ghaziabad, April 8 (IANS) An illegal liquor factory manufacturing reputed brands of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) was unearthed here on Friday, police said.

The Kavi Nagar police and excise department jointly raided the factory in Bamheta locality following a tip off and found two men manufacturing IMFL by mixing chemicals, Superintendent of Police, City, Salman Taj Patil told reporters.

During interrogation the two men -- Charan Singh and Laxman Singh, residents of Bamheta and Amroha respectively -- confessed to their crime.

"81 cartons of IMFL for sale in Haryana only, two sealing machines, 15 drums, 6 drum rectified chemical, two tanks of 1,000 litre capacity and a four-wheeler vehicle with registration number UP-14 DT 7988 were seized," the official added.
