Chandigarh, April 7 (IANS) The chief minister's office (CMO) in Haryana will assign good governance associates in all districts of the state from July this year, an official said on Thursday.
The 'Chief Minister's Good Governance Associates' (CMGGAs) programme has received tremendous response across the country as applications from premium institutes like Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs), top medical colleges and universities have been received to work under this programme, said a state government spokesman.
The programme will commence on July 1.
"Under the programme, 21 high-calibre individuals would be posted for one year in all the 21 districts of Haryana, representing the CMO," the spokesman said.
He said that applications from 21 states have so far been received and around 2,300 registrations have been done.
"More than 200 completed applications have been submitted out of which about 16 percent applications have been submitted by the female candidates. About 50 percent of the applicants have either worked or lived in Haryana," the spokesman said.
"Undergraduates with minimum one year of work experience or post-graduates holding diploma or degree were eligible to apply for the programme. An applicant should not be more than 30 years of age as on April 15, 2016. This is a full-time paid position during which the fellows would be based out of district headquarters and would be required to travel across the district as required," he added.
