Ahmedabad, April 7 (IANS) Four people in a car were killed on Thursday in Gujarat's Bharuch district when the vehicle was hit by speeding luxury bus after being hit by an unknown vehicle from the rear with such force that it was knocked over the road divider, police said.
While three died on the spot, one succumbed in hospital later. The accident occurred near near Hankari Navetha village on Dahej-Bharuch road in the south Gujarat district on Thursday.
The deceased were identified as Purushottam Swain, a resident of Odisha, Rajesh Kumar Prasad, a native of Jharkhand and engineer Rahul Srivastava, who hailed from Madhya Pradesh, and driver Nuruddin.
Employees of Thermax Ltd., the three were involved in a boiler installation work for a Reliance project in Dahej and were coming to Bharuch in the morning by car when the accident occurred.
