Barcelona, April 6 (IANS) Atletico Madrid will be eyeing their second La Liga win this football season against Espanyol at the Cornella-El Prat on Saturday, where the Rojiblancos have enjoyed the taste of victory only once since the stadium was opened in 2009-10.
In all six games between the two teams at the Cornella-El Prat, Atletico have lost three times against the hosts, drew in two and won 1-0 in 2012-13, reports Efe.
Espanyol will be seeking a victory next Saturday in round 32 of La Liga against Atletico, and will try to take the advantage of the blow suffered by the Rojiblancos in the quarter-finals of the Champions League against Barcelona on Tuesday, which ended 2-1 for the Catalan team with Fernando Torres being sent off.
Currently Atletico Madrid hold second place in La Liga with 70 points, while Espanyol rest in 13th place, with 36 points only.
