Google’s Nexus April security update to fix Android bugs

New York, April 5 (IANS) Search engine giant Google has said that the Nexus security update for April has fixed various Android security vulnerabilities, a media report said.

Announcing a list of the security vulnerabilities it has patched in this release, the update includes patches for eight critical bugs, including one that affects the infamous libstagefright library, which has already seen its fair share of well-publicised vulnerabilities, Techcrunch tech website reported.

Google noted that the most severe of this month's issues would have allowed remote code execution on an affected device "through multiple methods such as email, web browsing, and MMS when processing media files".

According to the report, this month's update is poised to fix nearly 30 known vulnerabilities. Nexus users would see the notification of the update soon.
