Kolkata, April 3 (IANS) England's cricket team recovered from early jolts to post a challenging 155/9 against the West Indies in the final of the World Twenty20 at the Eden Gardens here on Sunday.
Joe Root top-scored for England with a 36-ball 54. The other notable contribution came from Jos Buttler who tonked 36 off 22 balls. They shared a crucial 61-run stand for the fourth wicket.
For the West Indies, who opted for bowling after winning the toss, medium pacers Dwayne Bravo and Carlos Brathwaite picked up three wickets each.
