Gurgaon, April 2 (IANS) A 24-year-old Maruti Suzuki employee died in a road accident on Saturday while heading towards the factory for work, police said.
The deceased has been identified as Mohnit Sharma, from Haryana's Karnal. He was currently living here in a rented accommodation in Palam Vihar area. He was in the production wing (Gurgaon plant) of the country's largest car manufacturing firm.
Police said that a crane hit Mohnit Sharma's motorbike in sector 23 area. He was rushed to a nearby private hospital but declared brought dead by doctors. The driver of the crane fled, leaving the vehicle behind.
Union leader Kuldeep Janghu said the deceased was the sole breadwinner in his family. He is survived by his widowed blind mother and younger sister. He joined the company in 2010.
