Kolkata, April 1 (IANS) Three employees of Hyderabad-based IVRCL were arrested on Friday in connection with the flyover collapse in the city that has claimed at least 24 lives, police said.

"Ten company officials were detained for questioning. Three of them have been arrested," said Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) Debashish Boral.

The three were identified as senior assistant general manager M. Mallikarjun, structural manager Pradip Kumar and assistant manager (administration) D. Majumdar.

The Vivekananda Road flyover under construction collapsed on the busy Posta area of the city on Thursday killing at least 24 people and injuring many more.

Besides sealing off the company's city offices, a Kolkata police team reached the company headquarters in Hyderabad during the day for questioning the company officials.
