Kabul, April 1 (IANS) At least seven Taliban militants were killed over the past 24 hours across Afghanistan, the country's defence ministry said on Friday.
"Seven militants have been killed and 14 wounded when Afghan National Security Forces launched joint operations in the countryside," Xinhua quoted the ministry as saying.
The ministry also confirmed the loss of seven army personnel during the operations.
The Afghan security forces have recently beefed up security as the spring and summer, known as the fighting season, is nearing.
