Patiala, April 1 (IANS) Describing the AAP as a band of fugitives and anti-Punjab elements, Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal on Friday asked Punjabis to be aware of their nefarious designs.
Paying tributes to former SGPC president Gurcharan Singh Tohra on his 12th death anniversary at his village near here, Badal asked the people of Punjab not to fell prey to the Aam Aadmi Party's misleading propaganda.
"The AAP has no definite agenda. Its sole agenda is to rule Punjab by hook or crook just to satiate their lust for power."
Exhorting Punjabis to give another opportunity to the SAD-BJP alliance, Badal said inexperienced and novice leadership of the AAP would certainly land the people in soup rather extending a helping hand.
This was evident from its Delhi model of governance, he said. "The SAD-BJP alliance is a trusted and time-tested brand."
Training guns at the Congress, the chief minister said it has surpassed all records of betraying the people of Punjab on every issue be it social, political, economic or religious.
Reiterating his stand, Badal called upon the people to be prepared for any sacrifice to save the river waters.
He said he and his party would not hesitate to make any supreme sacrifice to save Punjab's water that affected every section of the society.
Badal recalled his association with Tohra and said he was not merely an individual but an institution.
