Los Angeles, March 31 (IANS) Actor-comedian Jonah Hill will make his directorial debut with the upcoming coming-of-age film Mid 90s, based on a script that he has penned.
According to sources, the film follows a young boy coming up in Los Angeles in the mid-1990s learning life lessons with his skateboarding crew of friends, reports variety.com.
Hill will not be acting in the film, and a production start date is still being worked out.
The project marks another major step in Hills career.
From a young comedian, he went on to be a talented dramatic actor, having received Oscar nominations for his performances in The Wolf of Wall Street and Moneyball.
While he hasnt directed before, this is not his first time penning a script, having worked on 21 Jump Street, his animated series Allen Gregory and screenplays such as The Adventurers Handbook.
