Chandigarh, March 31 (IANS) Haryana will start procurement of wheat on Friday and has fixed a target of about 75 lakh tonnes this season, a minister said here on Thursday.
Food and Supplies Minister Karan Dev Kamboj said all arrangements have been made for procurement of wheat from 379 purchase centres across the state.
The minimum support price for wheat has been fixed at Rs.1,525 per quintal, while for barley, it is Rs.1,225 per quintal and of gram Rs.3,425 per quintal.
He said the state food and supplies department and HAFED would procure 33 percent wheat each.
