Colombo, March 30 (IANS) Security forces on Wednesday found a suicide jacket and explosives from a house in Sri Lanka's north where the Tamil Tigers once held sway.
The discovery was made at a house in Chavakachcheri town, Xinhua news agency reported.
Police said three parcels seized from the house had 12 kg of explosives. There were also 100 bullets and batteries used to trigger explosives.
Police are looking for the owner of the house.
The now vanquished Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) liberally used suicide bombers to target opponents during the armed conflict in Sri Lanka that ended in 2009.
