Los Angeles, March 30 (IANS) Actresses Nicole Kidman, Kirsten Dunst and Elle Fanning are in talks to star in ace filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola's daughter Sofia Coppola's upcoming remake of Clint Eastwood starrer 1971 drama film "The Beguiled".
Sofia will write and direct the film, reports variety.com.
The original story followed an injured Confederate soldier (played by Eastwood) who found refuge at an all-girls boarding school during the Civil War and conned his way into several lonely womens hearts.
This would mark a reunion for Sofia and Fanning, who starred in the filmmakers drama Somewhere. Sofia is also a frequent collaborator with Dunst, who has appeared in a handful of her films, including Marie Antoinette.
