Mumbai, March 29 (IANS) Bollywood's power couple Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna have come together in an ad campaign to endorse real estate brand Lodha Group's new project Amara.
Akshay, one of the most stylish actors of Hindi filmdom, and Twinkle, a successful entrepreneur, interior designer and a writer, have featured in a playful look for the ad, which gives a glimpse of the luxury that Amara offers in Thane, near here.
Amara comprises of one, two and three bedroom residences housed in 27-30 storeyed elegant towers, and with 85 percent of space left open. The name, Amara is derived from the Sanskrit word Amar meaning eternal -- keeping in mind that the neighbourhood is designed to meet the eternal desire of humans to have the choice to pursue what they desire.
Talking about it, Akshay said: Amara is a unique urban concept, at par with master planned neighbourhoods of leading cities around the world... This neighbourhood will enable its residents to live more, do more."
The "Khiladi" star also said that he is delighted to be associated with the project "because its so refreshing to find such a forward looking developer that chose to build a society in a city without harming any nature".
Twinkle, who is known for her sense of style, added: "Time to reflect and spaces that allow you to do so are both a need and a great luxury. Every day in this neighbourhood, you have the opportunity to relax and re-energise. Amara is a big step in that direction.
Thane as a location has grown tremendously to create its mark today and it has become a booming commercial and residential hub due to the influx of business centers and other key developments, says Prashant Bindal, chief sales officer, Lodha Group.
Branded urban neighborhoods are a rare phenomenon in Mumbai, and a lush and verdant neighbourhood is even rarer in the city. In this backdrop, Amara has received an encouraging response in the pre-launch stage with over 3000 booking applications, Bindal said.
