Dehradun, March 27 (IANS) Uttarakhand's sacked chief minister Harish Rawat on Sunday condemned imposition of President's Rule in the hill state, alleging that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led central government was after the blood of the state government.

"It had become evident since yesterday (Saturday). They had been threatening the Uttarakhad government and the state governor," Rawat told reporters here.

"The BJP-led central government was thirsty for me and my government's blood from the Day One" since he assumed office in February 2014, the Congress leader said.

He addressed the media hours after President Pranab Mukherjee okayed the union cabinet's decision to sack the Rawat government and impose President's Rule in the hill state.
