Pakistan’s Sindh to pass bill against forced conversion

Islamabad, March 25 (IANS) Pakistan Peoples Party chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said his party in Sindh will soon pass a bill against forced conversion of Hindus so that the community becomes stronger.

Bilawal Bhutto made the remarks on Thursday while greeting Hindus on Holi festival. "We are the only government to announce a public holiday on Holi," he said.

"PPP is transforming the country into the Quaid-e-Azam's Pakistan, who always supported complete freedom for all the minorities," Bilawal said.

Bilawal Bhutto also said that the party manifesto was based on equality for all. "We are supporters of the rights of minorities and the poor."

He asked if a Muslim can become a president in India, why cannot a person from minorities become head of the state in Pakistan.
