Islamabad, March 25 (IANS) Iranian President Hassan Rouhani arrived in Islamabad on Friday on a two-day official visit to Pakistan.
He will hold talks with President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Saturday, Dawn online reported.
The Iranian leader is visiting Pakistan at Sharif's invitation.
The visit is particularly significant in the wake of the lifting of sanctions on Iran that has opened new avenues for enhancing trade and commerce cooperation between the two countries.
This is Rouhanis first visit to Pakistan as the president of Iran.
