Brussels, March 24 (IANS) Brussels airport on Thursday announced that passenger flights would be suspended until March 27 following Tuesday's deadly suicide bombings in the airport's departure hall.
"Passenger flights into and out of Brussels airport are suspended until Sunday, March 27 included," the airport tweeted, according to Xinhua.
"Because the forensic investigation is still underway, we currently have no access to the building. Until we can assess the damage, it remains unclear when we can resume operations," the airport said on its website.
Twin explosions went off at the departure hall of the Brussels airport on Tuesday and later another bombing was reported in a metro station close to the European Union complex. The terror attacks caused at least 31 deaths.
