Osaka (Japan), March 24 (IANS) The Panasonic Corporation has developed a thermal sensation estimation method using an infrared array sensor which will help improve energy conservation and comfort in air conditioners, a company statement said.
The new method recognises human sensations of hot and cold by calculating heat loss based on difference between human body's surface temperature and ambient temperature," the leading electronics technologies and solutions provider company said on Wednesday.
The thermal sensing solutions are super-resolution algorithm using an infrared array sensor- Grid-EYE.
The solutions thereby achieves air-conditioning suitable for the temperature perceived by each person, thus helping improve energy conservation and comfort, the statement said.
The company said it would further improve the algorithm and introduce it in the fields requiring safety such as nursing and monitoring.
