Abuja, March 24 (IANS) Samson Siasia, interim head coach of Nigeria's football team, has said it is ready to take on Egypt in an African Cup of Nations qualifier slated for Friday.
He said the Super Eagles are aware that the Egyptians have "some sleek-footed players who will not be given the chance to play their game", reports Xinhua.
"We are not going to be afraid of attacking the Egyptians. We know them already but all that we want to ensure is that we get our tactics right," said Siasia.
The visiting Egyptians are expected in Nigeria on Wednesday ahead of the opening leg and will thereafter host Nigeria four days later in Alexandria.
Egypt are presently topping Group G in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifying series with six points after beating Chad and Tanzania, while Nigeria are in second place with four points.
Nigeria need at least to bag four points in the upcoming games to overtake the seven-time African champions who surprisingly have missed out on the last three editions of the African tourney.
