Buenos Aires, March 24 (IANS) Juventus forward Paulo Dybala has been ruled out of Argentina's World Cup qualifiers against Chile and Bolivia with a right leg injury.
The 22-year-old travelled back to Italy on Wednesday to receive treatment after failing to pass a fitness test, Xinhua news agency reported, citing Argentina coach Gerardo Martino.
"His withdrawal was not unexpected," Martino told reporters, adding: "Juventus were kind enough to allow him to fly down to Argentina, but he will not be ready for these two games."
Martino said he would not call up a replacement for Dybala, who has scored 14 goals in Italy's Serie A this season.
Argentina are currently sixth in the South American zone's World Cup qualifying standings with five points from four matches.
