It has been four years since Nandi Awards have been officially announced. So many changes have happened in those years politically and we have now two Telugu states. It was clear from the beginning that Telangana state would have its own award for excellence and that was confirmed many months ago too.
Finally, after a brief gap, we have a new update on the awards. It is heard that the Telangana state awards would be called Kakateeya Awards. An official announcement followed by a detailed list of Award winners for all the pending years is expected to be made in April.
