Mumbai, March 21 (IANS) Key Indian equity indices opened higher on Monday following global cues.
The 30-scrip Sensitive Index (Sensex), was trading 117.62 points or 0.47 percent up during the morning session.
The wider 50-scrip Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) was also trading 31.15 points or 0.41 percent up at 7,635.50 points.
The Sensex of the BSE, which opened at 25,007.56 points, was trading at 25,070.36 points (at 9.16 a.m.) in the early session, up 117.62 points or 0.47 percent from the previous day's close at 24,952.74 points.
The Sensex touched a high of 25,073.59 points and a low of 24,988.27 points in the trade so far.
